The focus of our meeting is networking. The networking objectives for the meeting are:
Come prepared to deliver your 2 minute drill (90 second announcement), share your recent successes, describe your job search plans for the next month, and bring job search questions and concerns you may struggling with, so the group may provide you with assistance.
It is important that you bring copies of your target list of companies and people you would like to meet. Also bring enough copies of your profile for other members. These are necessary tools you need so that people will know how to help you.

Technical.ly Super Meetup

The Super Meetup is a gathering of the most-connected members of the local tech, startup, and entrepreneurial scene. It’s a chance to make new friends and learn more about local tech and entrepreneurial resources and tech-focused meetup groups.
The idea of the Super Meetup is simple: meetups are integral to any tech scene. Every now and then, it makes sense to rally the leaders of tech-related meetups in town and gather for one big mixer. The idea is to connect people with groups they may not have otherwise known about.

Talent Analytics: Emerging Themes and Successful Practices: William A. Schiemann, Ph.D., GPHR, and CEO Metrus Group
May 17, 2017 7:30 AM
There is increasing interest today in using workforce analytics to make decisions and allocate resources in organizations. In the recent Rise of HR project, spearheaded by Dave Ulrich, William Schiemann and Libby Sartain, 73 global HR thought leaders identified the use of information and analytics as one of seven key requirements for HR to be successful today and tomorrow. Issues range from evidence-based mindsets to asking the right questions to using the right analytic tools. Today, this nascent competency is evolving rapidly, but often with many avoidable false starts and challenges. For example, Big Data has taken on a life of its own, often with disappointing results. Employee surveys continue to be used in non-strategic ways that often do not lead to better decisions, higher engagement, stronger leader competencies or better resource allocation. Bill will talk about the key issues to consider, share examples of good and bad practices, provide a list of key questions, and demonstrate the potential power of using information more strategically.
